Albato Woods Dies at 60

Feb. 2, 2008 – Albato Woods, better known as "Shot," of Estate Nazareth, died on Friday, Jan. 25, at his residence. He was 60 years old. He was the former owner of Super Pool, Smith Bay and a member of the East End Taxi Association.
He is survived by his wife, Elza Woods; sons: Jerome and Kerry Woods; daughters Kimika and Kianya Woods; step-daughter: Merlisecia Bruce and Kimani Joseph; and grandsons: Keion and Keoni Woods, and Kiahl'Jah, Kyron and Rone'l Joseph. He is also survived by brothers: Rev. Will, Leonda, Peter and Rudolph Woods; sisters: Iva Rowe, Joyce Woods and Barbara Hughes; adopted sister, Cristalia Testamark; uncles Carlo and Albato Woods; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held from 8:30-10 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 9, at Christchurch Methodist, Market Square. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 3.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute at Schneider Regional Medical Center.
Transportation: the Native Son will leave Road Town at 6:15 a.m., and Westend at 7 a.m., and transportation will then be provided from the boat to the church.
