Marcelli School Hosts Conference for Parents on Saturday

Feb. 8, 2008 – Evelyn Marcelli Elementary School will have its Second Annual Parents' Conference beginning at 8 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 9, in the school cafeteria, according to a press release from Principal Doris Daniel. "Parents are encouraged to attend and take part in the exciting scheduled sessions," she said.
Parents will be given the opportunity to attend two of the following eight sessions:
· VITAL and AYP: Why Should It Matter To Me?
· Helping The Struggling Reader To Succeed In The Early Grades
· Helping The Struggling Reader To Succeed In The Intermediate Grades
· Nutrition and Learning: What's The Connection?
· Why Me? Why Now? Why Parents Need To Get Involved and Stay Involved
· Everyday Mathematics: It's All Around Us
· Child Abuse: The Law and My Child's Education
· Web Sites That Support Learning
Registration forms are currently due. Parents are asked to ensure that they have completed their registration so that the sessions and lunch counts can be finalized and coordinated.
