Ad Club of the VI Luncheon Will Host Guest Speaker

The Advertising Club of the Virgin Islands will host its first luncheon event of 2008 from noon to 1:30 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 15, at Betsy's Bar and Restaurant in Frenchtown. The club welcomes guest speaker Tony Pearman, CCO and partner of Access, a U.S. southeastern-based full-service advertising agency, according to a press release from the Ad Club of the VI.
He will speak on non-traditional advertising including viral, guerrilla and street marketing. He will share practical examples of major successes, as well as failures and dangers of the newest of non-traditional media. The luncheon is an event surrounding the Virgin Islands and Caribbean Advertising Federation 2008 ADDY Awards competition where Pearman will serve as one of the distinguished judges. Pearman is also a former chairperson of the American Advertising Federation National ADDY committee where he pioneered the movement to involve non-traditional advertising as a category in the ADDY Awards competitions.
