Constitutional Convention to Hold Public Meeting

The Committee on Government of the Fifth Constitutional Convention will hold its first public committee meeting at 5 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Gertrude's Restaurant, St. Croix. This is a unique opportunity for the community to come out and be a part of the "revolution" to transform the government of the Virgin Islands into one that is accountable to the people, decentralized, and efficient.
The committee will first discuss the provisions of the Fourth Constitutional Convention that referenced government generally, and local government specifically. The chair, V. Anne Golden, will then encourage the public to engage in an open discussion on the type of government they want the delegates to consider.
Be a part of this historic process and invite a friend to listen and participate in the discussion. Free light refreshments will be provided.
