March 5, 2008 – The St. Thomas-St. John District Office of Foreign Languages will host its 2008 Elementary Spanish Spelling Bee at 8 p.m., on Wednesday, March 12, at the Yvonne Milliner-Bowsky Elementary School cafeteria, according to a press release from Acting Superintendent Jeanette Smith-Barry.
The event is open to the public and will feature students representing the following district's public, private and parochial elementary K-6 schools: Gladys Abraham Elementary, Emanuel Benjamin Oliver Elementary, Leonard Dober Elementary, Lockhart Elementary, Yvonne Milliner-Bowsky Elementary, Ulla Muller Elementary, Joseph Sibilly Elementary, Julius E. Sprauve, Gifft Hill, Antilles School and the Wesleyan Academy.
Scotia Bank, a district community partner, will make a presentation to the winner.
