UVI Sorority Plans Black Arts Festival

March 5, 2008 – The members of Sigma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. will have their Annual Black Arts Festival on Saturday, March 15, in the Emancipation Garden.
The event will feature a "Step to the Mic…Read, Write and Recite" contest. Contestants will write words or lyrics addressing the theme: "AKA 100 Years of Service." There will be vendors of locally made arts & crafts, and various school groups and organizations will provide entertainment, according to a press release from Sigma Theta Omega
