V.I. Carnival Committee Sponsors Junior Calypso Competition

April 2, 2008 – Students from several schools on St. Thomas will display their talents on Tuesday, April 15, at the Lionel Roberts Stadium during The Virgin Islands Carnival Committee 2008 Junior Calypso Competition. Thirteen students in three divisions will compete for titles in their respective divisions.
Primary Division
Maurice Hansby – "King Maurice" of Lockhart Elementary
Na'kaya Esdaille – "Princess KeKe" of Leonard Dober Elementary
Khamoi DeSilvia – "Singer Boy Kahmoi" of Joseph Gomez Elementary
Intermediate Division
Emil D'Andre Aska – "Little Trooper" of Leonard Dober Elementary
Jalen Fredericks – "King Yellow Man" of Addelita Cancryn Middle School
Reneecia Simon – "Princess Nicea" of Evelyn Marcelli Elementary
Kijana James – "King Kijana I" of Leonard Dober Elementary
Cadesha Frederick – "Black Beauty" of Leonard Dober Elementary
K'Mani Dowe – "Mighty Terror" of Addelita Cancryn Middle School
Secondary Division
Shiryra Crabb – "Lady Prissy" of Addelita Cancryn Jr High
Shamelle Farrington – "Princess Lyrics" of Charlotte Amalie High
Malake Dhu – "Mighty Pressure" of Bertha C. Boshulte Middle School
Rudel Hart Jr. – "Daddy Hart" of Ivanna Eudora Kean High
