A Beach by Any Other Name

Dear Source:
I just read the article regarding Lindqvist Beach. Oops! Smith Bay Park! It is such a lovely and unspoiled spot. I hope that the Magens Bay Authority in their wisdom shall keep it operated in a similar way to Magens Bay Beach with only a concession for food and drink. We don’t need to go to the beach to shop! I am sure many vendors are salivating at the thought of profits.
I believe that the beach should be the focal point with a few amenities such as lifeguards, bathrooms, shaded areas and picnic tables. If they pursue a similar venue to Magens Bay Beach then they can’t go wrong. Yes, I know the correct name is Smith Bay Park but growing up here that beach was always known as Lindqvist Beach and for all us locals, it shall always remain so. I wish people would stop changing known names of landmarks.
I can’t remember who Skyline Drive is named after! Sorry!
