Botanical Garden Will Offer Mother's Day Treats

The St. George Village Botanical Garden will hold its annual pre-Mother's Day sale on Saturday, May 10. The Museum Store will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will have many special gifts available for purchase.
"We have one-of-a-kind jewelry, cookbooks, candleholders, original island artwork, tote bags, cool kids' stuff, bath items and books of local interest," said store manager Rebekah Sabia. "We are receiving new items all the time. There are great gifts for mom."
The nursery will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will offer a wide range of plants for sale that are perfect for a Mother's Day gift.
"We have orchids and air plants, bougainvillea, native trees and plants, succulents, cactus, ground cover, bedding plants, flower and foliage shrubs, ferns, hibiscus, vines, house and porch plants, plants, gingers, heliconia and fragrance plants," said volunteer nursery manager Carol Bamforth.
There is no admission to the Botanical Garden for either of these two sales. For information, call 692-2874. The Garden is open for self-guided tours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., every day of the year except Christmas.
