Brief: Department of Justice Gets Public Information Officer

May 14, 2008 — Former TV2 reporter Sara Lezama has joined the V.I. Department of Justice as its public information officer and media advisor to Attorney General Vincent Frazer.
Lezama's duties will include writing and issuing press releases about the department and Bureau of Corrections, responding to local media inquiries and coordinating press conferences, according to a DOJ statement issued Wednesday afternoon.
Lezama, who holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Loyola University in New Orleans, will be based at the Attorney General's Office on St. Thomas. She can be contacted at 774-5666, ext. 171, or via email.
