Brief: Motorists Should Avoid Tot Lot Area Tuesday

June 9, 2008 – A section of Route 333, known as Agriculture Hill, in the area between the fire station and the playground in Estate Dorothea, will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday while Public Works removes and replaces corroded drainage pipes in the area. As a result of the condition of the pipes, sections of the road have been compromised and the dam, which is used by the farmers in that area, cannot be effectively maintained, a Government House statement sent Monday night said.
Commissioner of Public Works Darryl A. Smalls said emergency services responders, tour operators and the motoring public should use alternate routes during the hours indicated and exercise caution when traversing the area.
