June 20, 2008 – Service will be interrupted to a small section of St. Croix Feeder No. 8, from 9 a.m. to noon, on Sunday, June 22. The area affected will be in Estate William's Delight from Queen Mary Highway to the Melvin Evans Highway, according to a press release from the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority.
WAPA line crews will be connecting a new three-phase line to Feeder No. 8's underground pothead for the purpose of upgrading the system to minimize line loss. Motorists are asked to obey all traffic directions and to use extreme caution when traveling in the area.
WAPA appreciates the cooperation of the community and apologizes for any inconvenience that may occur during the power interruption.
