Summer Camps and Programs for Young People

Here is a list of summer camps and organized activities available for children or young people. Please send information on your camps and activities, to offer parents a variety of choices. Please e-mail information to source@viaccess.net

Antilles School Offers Total Camp Experience

Total Camp Experience is registering kids, ages 3-14, for the summer camp, which will be held at the Antilles School MCM Center and will run from June 9 to Aug. 1. It will cost $200 per week, and an after camp option is available for an additional $50 per week.
The camp day will include water sports, indoor and outdoor activities, sports, arts and crafts, dance, field trips and more.
Register in person at the MCM Center Lobby: On May 29 and 30, from 3-6 p.m.; May 31, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; June 5 and 6, from 3-6 p.m.; or June 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Department of Housing, Parks and Recreation Hosts Summer Camps on St Thomas

The Department of Housing, Parks and Recreation will conduct summer activity camps, a baseball camp and a swimming camp, on St. Thomas, for youngsters 7-14 years old. The camps will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 23 through Aug. 1. Activities offered will include arts/crafts, indoor and outdoor games, beach/field trips, softball, volleyball and basketball.
The activity camps will take place at the Winston Raymo Center and the Alvin McBean Complex at $60 per child. The baseball camp will be held at the Joseph Aubain Ballpark at the cost of $100 per child, while the John Brewer's Beach will host the swimming camp for $140 per child. Lunch will be provided by the Department of Education Nutrition Program.
The 2008 application deadline is Friday, June 6. Registration and payment must be made at the Department of Housing, Parks and Recreation's main office in Sub Base on the 2nd floor of the Property and Procurement building.

Grace Baptist Church Summer Basket Ball Camp Opens

The Grace Baptist Church of Estate Fortuna on St. Thomas will host the Summer Fun Teen Basketball Camp at the Bordeaux Basketball Court and Community Center. The camp will run from Monday, July 14 through Friday, July 18.
Each training session will begin at 5:30 p.m. and is free to kids from 12 to 17 who want to improve their game or learn the game. Prizes will be awarded during the week for special accomplishment.
