Francis Attending Annual Meeting of the National Lieutenant Governors Association

July 25, 2008 – Lieutenant Governor Gregory R. Francis is out of the territory while he attends the Annual Meeting of the National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA) in Buffalo, New York. The conference will host elected officials from throughout the U.S. mainland and territories from July 23-26, according to a press release from the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of the U.S.V.I.
Participation in NLGA provides members the opportunity to network, foster interstate cooperation and share best practices. While at the meeting, Lt. Governor Francis will participate in workshops covering topics including reinvigoration of urban centers, wind energy, solutions to housing and foreclosures, and waterfront development.
The NLGA is the professional association for the elected officials who are first in line of succession to the governors in the 50 states and five territorial jurisdictions. For more information on the NLGA, visit www.nlga.us.
