Wasteful Nighttime Lighting

Dear Source:
Driving up Mafolie Hill many nights I see the stadium lights on with no activity en the field. This lights have to be very expensive to run and seem to be on very late at times, again with no activities at all taking place. The main post office lights up a huge are around it every night and even though this is federal expenses, it is still very wasteful. There are many nighttime lights that can be turned off or even streetlights alternated in many areas to save our wasteful energy costs. Who is responsible for monitoring these activities and making these decisions? This is just one of many very easy fixes we can utilize and should.
