Sept. 2, 2008 – Annette E. Smith of Mars Hill died on Aug. 22, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. She was 65 years old.
She is survived by her mother, Marion M. Hendricks Smith; aunt, Alice Nielsen; uncle, James E. Hendricks; sisters: Elisa M. Smith, Paulette E. Hodge, Alfreda S. Ovesen, Beverly E, Smith-Stalliard, Louella E. Smith-Rabsatt and Marjorie E. Smith; and brothers: Herbert E. Smith and Harold E. Smith Sr. She is also survived by special nieces: Karole E. Ovesen-McGregor, Kimm A. Richards Blackman, Shawna K. Richards, Simona E. Rabsatt, Dr. Norah M. Smith and Sabrina E. Rabsatt; nieces: Michelle E. and Tamika Smith, Kerisa M. Grayson, Harolyn E. Smith, Sheir Smith, Curliss John, Sandra Solomon, Karla D. Jackson, Ann Williams. Other survivors include special nephews: Kelvin E. Woodson, Svend A. Ovesen III, Kraigg A., Hans A., and Gerald E. Ovesen, Sidney E. Rabsatt II, Erin M. O'Reilly, Alphonse J. Stalliard, and Elliott Williams; nephews: Mike A., Warren and Michael Smith, Michael, Anthony and James Francis, Ronald Logan, Alan Gregory Dawson, Robert, Walter, and Leslie Hodge, Llewellyn and Kenneth Solomon and Harold E. Smith Jr.; and special friends: Harvey and Stephanie Nielsen and family, Dahlia Payne and family, Naomi Dowling, Mercedes Samuel and Marion Lynch-Moore; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, Sept. 4, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Frederiksted. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
