Sept. 4, 2008 – For purposes of erring on the side of caution, HOPE Inc. is postponing the 4th Biennial Gala “A Treasured HOPE” scheduled to take place Sept. 13, at the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort. Funds raised from this gala will be used to offset cost of chronic disease screenings for diabetes, obesity and heart disease as well as HIV social services.
Based on the current weather advisory, there are two weather systems in the Atlantic Ocean (Ike and Josephine). Weather from one or both of these systems have a potential to affect the Virgin Islands. Persons/businesses who purchased tickets/ads will be given a choice to either receive a reimbursement on tickets/ads purchased or hold onto tickets already purchased for the rescheduled Gala date.
