Marcus Dale Sukow Dies at 44

Sept. 12, 2008 – We announce the passing of Marcus Dale Sukow, who died on Sept. 7.
He was born Nov. 12, 1963, in West Plains, Missouri. A resident of St. Thomas, Sukow was an environmental specialist at VIESCO and prior to that many years in the waste water industry stateside. He was a graduate of Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. Marcus loved fishing, water sports, Boat Nine and being surrounded by his wonderful friends on St. Thomas. He will be remembered for loving every moment working at VIESCO with fellow employees whom he loved and adored as family. He was always ready to extend a helping hand, outgoing, fun loving and never knowing a stranger.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Margie Duncan on St. Thomas; his daughter, Preslee Sukow; parents: Jan and Dale Sukow of West Plains, Missouri; grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wheeler and Mrs. Charlotte Sukow; aunts: Kim Wiley, Sarah Highfill and Patty Sublett; and cousins, Erica, David, Kevin, Jennifer and Vicky Combs.
A celebration of Marcus' life will be held at 4 p.m., on Monday, Sept. 15, at the XO Bistro in Red Hook, St. Thomas.
All funeral arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
