Dear Source:
Hi my name is Ebony L. Monsanto and I was born and raised in St.Thomas, Virgin Islands and then lived in St. Croix for about four years. But now a mother of four and now living in the state of Georgia. The island is what let the government does what they want and stand up for what is right and where we live. Everybody would say she don't live here, yes that's true, but one thing I always tell anybody and that is the Virgin Islands is my home and forever going to be my home.
About the ninety-eight V.I. Prisoners Transferred to Virginia, this is crap. Why because back in the days they had a jail what happen to that. They need to stop wasting tax payers' money to buy plain tickets to send our family, friends, and love ones off island. This is not going to fix the problem; a solution needs to be created. We need to get together and fix back up that jail in St. Thomas we had, as a community we have the space for it.
My brother is one of them that were shipped off like he doesn't have a family and now we can't find him so what are we suppose to do. My mother, (Aileen T. Reid Monsanto) was a faithful employee to the government until her life was taking away from her. And again the system fails to help her kids. I always tell my family, that we are the ones that are destroying each other, and now we are the ones letting the government destroy us. Let us stand together and fight this battle. We are the only ones that can do this together hand in hand. I'm living proof of this mess.
