Roland Dubois Grimm Dead at 82

Oct. 6, 2008 – Former, long-time St. Thomas resident Roland Dubois Grimm died peacefully on Sept. 19, in Coral Gables, Florida. He was 82 years old.
He was born in New Paltz, N.Y.; graduated from Northwood School in Lake Placid, N.Y.; and earned degrees from Yale University, Class of 1950, and Columbia University. During W.W.II, he served in combat with the 10th Armored Division in the European Theatre. Grimm first came to St. Thomas in the late 70's and left after Hurricane Marilyn, moving to Key West, Florida.
He is survived by his loving wife Jacquelyn (Jackie); children: Charlotte, Howard and Sarah; and grandchildren: Jamie, Lucy and Winfield.
He will be fondly remembered by all of those who had the pleasure of knowing him as a kind, generous and true gentleman.
