V.I. Archives Month Celebrated on St. John

Oct. 7, 2008 – The Territorial Archives of the Division of Libraries, Archives and Museums, in celebration and observance of Virgin Islands Archives Month 2008, invites the public to attend a presentation from 5:30-7:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the Bethany Moravian Church Hall, which will be hosted by the Friends of the Elaine Ione Sprauve Library.
The program will be conducted by Susan Laura Lugo, territorial coordinator for archives, who will report on the state of the territory's archives and feature some of its significant holdings.
There is no charge and registration is not required. This presentation is one of many activities being sponsored by the Division of Libraries, Archives and Museums in celebration of October 2008 as Virgin Islands Archives Month.
Archives Month 2008 is a time to focus on Virgin Islands records of enduring value, and to enhance public recognition for the people and programs in our Territory that are responsible for maintaining our community's vital historical records.
