Recycling Association Plans First General Membership Meeting

Oct. 20, 2008 – The Recycling Association of the Virgin Islands (RAVI) will have its first general membership meeting at 6 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Tutu Curriculum Center, St. Thomas.
All present members will attend to outline the activities and progress of the organization since its inception in August of 2008. May Adams Cornwall, director of V.I. Waste Management Authority, will be the guest speaker and will address current progress and concerns regarding waste management and answer questions from the audience.
RAVI's goal is to create a stable and sustainable environment in the Virgin Islands. Those who choose to become supporting members will have access to updates on the organization's projects and progress via a monthly e-mail. It will also afford members an opportunity to share their ideas via e-mail. (www.usvircd.org)
