Medora Agatha Ferdinand Jacobs-Selwood Dead at 92

Dec. 8, 2008 – Medora Agatha Ferdinand Jacobs-Selwood, also known as "Aunt Dora," of Work-and-Rest, died on Nov. 28, at her residence. She was 92 years old.
She is survived by her sister, Elfreda M. Gibbs; sister-in-law, Rita E. Williams; brother-in-law, Isaiah Daniels; nieces: Ruth D. Lang, Muriel Wallace, Elodia Turnbull, Lorraine Farrell, Phyllis E. Daniels and Patricia G. Brady; and nephews: Rudolph Farrell, Norman Richards and Michael Daniels. She is also survived by great nieces: Chainie R. Lang-Brannigan, Elizabeth Creque-Cruse, Andrea Wallace-Penn, Sh'reen Arri, Lois Sealey, Ruby Francis, Mildred Joseph, Corrine Francis, Shamang Strun and Dieadra Farrell; great nephews: Romel Wallace Jr., Romardo and Ricardo Guadalupe, Wayne Farrell, Ha'neen Arri, Winston Callwood, David Francis, Kenneth and Roy Moolenaar, Sosthenes Francis, Akeem, Akil, Akoy, Keith, Rudolph Jr. and Kevin Farrell; special friends: Josephine Bennersen, Ann Hecker, Elenore Hansen-Plasket, Tyra Lang and Georgett Arindell; cousin and other relatives: Kathleen Rodgers, Francis Carrington Bost and Barbara Carrington Johnson; as well as others too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Lord God of Saboath Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Frederiksted Cemetery.
