Hospitality Marketing Expert Speaks at HTA Meeting

Jan. 6, 2009 – Marketing specialist John Fareed, CHME ISHC, will be the keynote speaker at the January Membership Meeting of the USVI Hotel & Tourism Association (HTA). The luncheon meeting will be held at noon, on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa. He will focus on "Winning Market Share in a New Economy."
"John's out-of-the-box marketing ideas have been successful for many of his clients," said Lisa Hamilton, president of the HTA. "We are fortunate to have him share some strategies which might help members maximize their already strapped budgets and generate business. This meeting is a must for anyone in the hospitality industry."
Fareed, a partner at Fareed Zapala & Koepke, is an internationally recognized authority in the field of hospitality marketing. He has appeared as an expert on national television programs including ABC News, CNN and Fox News Network, in publications such as USA Today and the New York Times, and has had articles published in numerous trade journals. This month, his company will be awarded nine Adrian Awards given by the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI), including a Gold Award for the "Big Beach Ball" campaign he created for the HTA.
The meeting is complimentary for HTA members. There is a $30 charge for non-members.
