Crime Stoppers Needs Your Help

Crime Stoppers is asking the community to help the VIPD solve the following crimes, and reminds everyone that any information, no matter how insignificant, may be just what the police need to solve these cases:

  • St. Croix: Police are seeking additional information to solve the April 7, 2004 homicide of 44-year-old Francisco Martinez, who died when he was shot multiple times by an unknown suspect. Martinez was a fisherman and was killed as he was preparing his catch of fish for sale during the Easter holiday.
  • St. John: Police are seeking additional information on a robbery Monday, June 15, near the Islandia Building above the Dolphin Market area. A male victim was robbed of cash, shot at, and assaulted. The suspect was described as a black male about 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a gray shirt and dark pants. His face was covered with a shirt.
  • St. Thomas: Police need help identifying four men who robbed patrons and staff at Tipico Bar and Restaurant on Dronningens Gade on June 1. Witnesses said the four armed men were dressed in all black clothing. They took cash and jewelry and fled the area.
