PSC Conducts Public Hearings on Ferry Rate Increase

The Virgin Islands Public Services Commission will conduct public hearings on the reconsideration of the rate increase of the St. Thomas/St. John Ferry companies. The PSC is the government agency mandated to ensure that the rates of public utilities are fair, just, reasonable and non-discriminatory.

The next public hearing will take place on St. Thomas at the PSC Conference Room at 6 p.m., on Monday, Sept. 14. Time will be allotted for the public to offer comments during the hearing at the discretion of the hearing examiner, according to a press release from the PSC.
Comments may also be submitted in advance of the hearing to Michael S. Moore, PSC legal assistant, at msmvi@hotmail.com or via fax at 774-4971 on St. Thomas. All comments submitted in writing will be provided to the parties and hearing examiner in these matters.
For ideas, questions or concerns, contact the Public Services Commission on St. Croix, St. John or St. Thomas at 778-6010 or 776-1291. Visit the PSC Web site at www.psc.gov.vi
