Deadline Announced for After-School Program Applications

Applications are being accepted for the 2009-2010 “Learn It” after-school program that is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Oct. 27. Classes will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. This is a free program sponsored by the Virgin Islands Department of Education, according to a press release from Superintendent for the St. Thomas-St. John School District Jeanette Smith-Barry.
Parents are asked to contact their child’s respective school to find out if he or she is eligible for the program. All eligible applicants must submit their completed applications to the school on or before the deadline of Wednesday, Oct. 21.
