Marley Homes Murder Suspect Arrested

Criminal Investigations Bureau detectives arrested 35-year-old Jemmason B. Charles on charges of first-degree murder in connection with the March 16 shooting death of 17-year-old Dupert Knowles III.

Charles was arrested at 5:59 p.m. Saturday, May 8, based on a warrant issued by Judge Julio Brady.

Bail for Charles was set at $125,000 and he was remanded to the custody of the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility.

Knowles, of Estate Campo Rico, was found shot to death under a tamarind tree in the Marley Apartments in Frederiksted at about 1:39 a.m. March 16.
