Muriel Agatha Petersen-Fergus Dead at 72

Muriel Agatha Petersen-Fergus Muriel Agatha Petersen-Fergus of Estate White Lady died on May 22, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. She was 72 years old.

She is survived by her husband, James A. Fergus; sons: James Jr. and Rene Fergus; daughters: Beatrice and Maria Fergus; special adopted granddaughter: Venesha Fergus; grandchildren: Tamara and Saleem Mumin, Whitney and Brian Baker, and Tenesha L. Pettiford; and great- granddaughter, Mariyah T. Moore. She is also survived by brothers: Ira and Joseph Petersen; sisters: Verna Petersen-Richmond and Inez Armstrong; uncles: Sinclair Haynes, Christopher Lewis and Charles Henry; brother-in-law, Henry Armstrong; sisters-in-law, Eileen Graham Petersen; daughter-in-law, Linda Fergus; nieces and nephews: Anna and Eunice Rivera, Melissa Brown, Janice Armstrong, Angela Petersen, Edwin Rivera, Warren Ronnie, Reginald and Burton Petersen; great nieces: Marquitta, Chantel and Amelia Vinson, Jamallia Dee amd Jamira Frederick; and great nephews: Vaughn and Michael Irish, Antonio Vinson, Malik Flores, Jahmal Dee and Jaquan Frederick. Other survivors include special cousins: Louise Arnold-Clarke, Yvonne Giddings-St. Louis, Charles Haynes, Llewellyn Brown and Randy Larsen; family friends: Emelda Edwards, Mrs. and Mrs. Delroy Thomas, Raymond Richards and family, Selma and Mary; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Special thanks are given to the Medical Unit and ICU staff of the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and to the Virgin Islands Kidney Center and staff; special thanks also go to all Vitrans Drivers and staff.
A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 7, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
