A 43-year-old man from Estate Work and Rest was arrested Sunday and charged with disturbance of the peace and domestic violence.
Witnesses told police John Royer had been at the beach earlier in the day and consumed several alcoholic drinks. He was reportedly brought home by family members but continued acting in an erratic manner, breaking windows and taking all his clothes off.
According to police, Royer armed himself with a machete and damaged several items inside and outside of his home as well as several vehicles outside the home.
Royer, who is from Dominica, was arrested just before 9 p.m. Sunday and held without bail because of the domestic violence charge.
