Gilberto Jacobs Dead at 72

Gilberto JacobsGilberto Jacobs, better known as “Gil,” died on June 13. He was 72 years old.

He is survived by his daughters: Delores and Lora Jacobs; grandchildren: Sheriann Springer, Maria Isaac, Rasheka Isaac, Olesea Jeffrey, Bernard Brown and Jazmach Isaac; sisters: Maria Serrano, Juanita J. Edwards, Carmen Jacobs and Candida Garcia; brother, Jose Jacobs; nieces: Anna Serrano, Maria Serrano, Luz Harry, Ernestine Edwards, Gloria Edwards, Carmen Edwards, Juanita, Prudence Jacobs, Telma, Judy Jacobs, Alisha Simmon, Natash Gumbs and Nilsa Encarnacion; and nephews: Jesus, Miguel Serrano, Jose, Roberto Serrano, Emilio Lerery and Cloave Edwards. He is also survived by great nieces: Rashida, Lovrina Serrano, Shalah, Shaynah, Shaylah Serrano, Maria Rivera, Zcayah, Z-Jahnay, Tichelle, Shaniqua Serrano; great nephews: Gilberto Serrano, Omari Kafi Copper, Juan Acencio, luqman Joseph, Robert Christopher, Jesus, George, Matteo, Allen, Gilberto Harry, Tony, Ibrahim Rivera, Gregory Willocks Lucian, Antoine and Manie Serrano; special friends: George Harry, Miguel Garcia, Juan and Joean Jacobs; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 8, at the Kingshill Chapel. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
All arrangements are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
