M/V Capt. Vic Returns to Ferry Service

The M/V Capt. Vic, owned and operated by Love City Car Ferries Inc., returned to service on Saturday, July 3. Operating manager and owner Llewellyn T. Sewer said, “The vessel is like new; it was completely refurbished in Bayou La Batre, Alabama, by Steiner Shipyard Inc.” Further, Sewer indicates that the vessel is cleaner and faster with guaranteed on-time departures.

Love City Car Ferries Inc. is aware that Capt. Vic’s presence will help to alleviate some of the congestion on the docks, and it will minimize the wait for residents and visitors traveling by car between St. Thomas and St. John. The ferry will continue to operate its same schedule with departures from Red Hook on the odd hours 7 a.m., 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Cruz Bay departures on the even hours 6:15 a.m., 8 a.m., 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.
To thank customers for their patience during the vessel’s absence, Love City Car Ferries, Inc. will have a “Day of Thanks” on Saturday, July 24. It will take place for patrons on board the M/V Capt. Vic.
