HOPE Inc. Holds Gala to Celebrate Ten Years in USVI, Tickets on Sale

October will mark 10 years of Helping Others in a Positive Environment’s (HOPE) existence in the U.S. Virgin Islands. To mark this milestone, HOPE will host a 10th Anniversary Biennial Gala on Aug. 28. The keynote speaker for the gala is Dr. Denzil Douglas (prime minister for Nevis and St. Kitts); the honoree is Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen. For this occasion, HOPE will pay tribute to the members of its first board of directors, which include Dr. Margaret Sprauve-Martin, Simon Caines, Taetia Phillip-Dorsett, Joycelyn Goubourn, Gritell Martinez, Roberto Caraballo and Jackie Meade.
This gala is special to HOPE as it generates operating funds for social service programs. This year it seeks to raise enough funds for a down payment to purchase property for its prevention and treatment center.
Contact HOPE’s office at 777-1611 for tickets and or to place ads.
