Freddie Clarke, 57, was arrested Tuesday and charged with unlawful sexual contact in connection with an incident that occurred in July.
Clarke is accused of inappropriately touching an adult female without her permission.
The victim contacted police following the incident and made a statement describing what happened. Investigation Bureau detectives investigated the charges and requested the V.I. Superior Court to grant them a warrant to arrest Clarke. Judge Jessica Gallivan signed the arrest warrant on August 5.
Clarke was arrested at about 7:55 a.m. Tuesday. His bail was set at $10,000 and he was remanded to the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility.
