The committee has scheduled a meeting to receive testimony and to take action on the following bills:
Bill No. 28-0237 – An Act amending Title 3, Virgin Islands Code, chapter 33, section 881, to mandate that government agencies keep confidential the personal records of persons with whom they interact.
Bill No. 28-0232 – An Act amending Title 29, V.I.C., subsection 919, as it relates to the composition of the Public Finance Authority’s Board of Directors
Bill No. 28-0239 – An Act repealing Title 33, V.I.C., chapter 89, section 2591, relating to the authority of the Government of the Virgin Islands to assign, sell or transfer real property tax liens

Agenda:
The 28th Legislature will convene in Committee of the Whole Zoning Hearing to receive testimony on the following zoning applications:
Frances Lewis (Sheniqua T. Rouse, authorized agent) – Request for Amendment of Official Zoning Map of St. Thomas-St. John to rezone Parcel No. 394-411 Estate Anna’s Retreat, No. 1 New Quarter, St. Thomas from R-1 (residential – low density) to R-2 (residential – low density one-and-two family)
Purpose: To divide the property into parcels and bestow title of one of the parcels to the applicant. Applicant will construct a two-family dwelling on the parcel obtained.
Springline Architects LLC (Kevin Qualls, authorized agent) — Request for Amendment of Official Zoning Map of St. Thomas-St. John to rezone Parcel No. 62-1, Estate Thomas, No. 6A New Quarter, St. Thomas, from R-5 (residential – high density) to B-2 (business – secondary/neighborhood)
Purpose: To construct a two-story building with associated parking primarily for the accommodation of a medical clinic, and offices for physicians and other professionals such as accountants and lawyers.
