DOL Postpones ‘Hire Locals Workshop’

The Virgin Islands Department of Labor has postponed its “Hire Locals – Mix and Mingle” workshop until later in the month The first of many activities planned for September’s Labor Month, according to a press release from Commissioner Albert Bryan Jr.

A panel of DOL representatives will be on hand to discuss various topics, such as: employee rights, wage and hour issues, vacation pay, wrongful discharge, hearing and appeals issues, unemployment insurance benefits and much more. The public will have the floor and opportunity to ask questions, address concerns, and the chance to mix and mingle with DOL representatives one on one.
The department continues to recognize the hard working men and women who have built the USVI economy, and have contributed and continue to contribute greatly to the strength, prosperity, progress and well-being of the territory.
