Brief: Innovative Crews Working to Restore Service

Innovative technicians worked through the night to restore cable TV, phone and internet service in St. Thomas and St. John, according to an Innovative release issued Thursday.
According to the release, the Wintberg area of St. Thomas—which includes Peterborg, St. Joseph, Rosendal, High Canan Estate, and Magens Bay—should have operational phone lines Thursday morning.
Where WAPA power is fully operational, residents in this area may have internet and some cable TV channels.
Customers with fully restored power that continue to experience phone or internet issues should call Innovative to report service troubles (see article’s end).
While St. John phone service has been restored to over 160 Innovative customers in the Caneel Bay area of the island, the 100 customers residing in the North Shore area—which includes bays Cinnamon, Trunk and Peter—can expect functional telephone service later this evening.
In other news, repair is continuing to the major satellite dish that supplies over half of the cable TV channels in St. Thomas and St. John.
Channels not supplied by this dish should be working at this time, and more channels will become available throughout the day.
Innovative customers are reminded to wait until power has been fully reinstated to their homes prior to reporting any issues with cable TV service.
For cable or phone repairs, Innovative customers calling from landlines can call 912. Customers using cell phones can reach repair centers at (340) 778-1742.
Please have telephone number, account number, address, description of problem, and brief directions to the area ready. For internet customers, call (340) 714-3700.
