Man Arrested for Rape of Minor; Her Father Charged with Assault

Christian Rojas, 20, was arrested by St, Thomas police who charged him with aggravated rape. A 63-year-old man, the father of the girl reportedly raped, was also arrested and charged with third-degree assault/domestic violence.

The arrests stem from the same incident, police said.

According to the police report the 63-year-old man returned to his Estate Lilliendahl home and discovered his 15-year-old minor daughter engaged in sexual activity with Rojas. The father attempted to strike Rojas with a machete but struck the minor daughter instead.

Police are not releasing the name of the 63-year-old man to protect the identity of the minor child. He was held without bail due to the domestic violence charges.

Rojas was held on a $50,000 bail and both suspects were remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections.
