Roland Roy Booher Dies at 72

Roland Roy Booher of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 5. He was 72 years old.
He had been a carpenter for many years. Roland Booher was instrumental in the construction of The Virgin Grand Hotels on St. Thomas and St. John while working for Allen-Williams. He and his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Bogue Booher, lived on St. Thomas for eight years, residing in the Nazareth area for much of that time on property owned by Sidney and Marion Flax, with whom they became good friends.
The Boohers were active members of the congregation of the Living Word Family Ministries in Tutu. Roland is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, Thomas Booher (who also lived on St. Thomas for nine years and now resides in Santa Cruz, Calif.); and daughters: Lora, Margie, Renea and Lydia.
