CAHS Requests Public Consideration in Use of Track

Carmen Howell, principal of Charlotte Amalie High School, has appealed to the general public for consideration to CAHS students in regard to use of the track. “With the start of the 2010-2011 school year, several athletic activities will be resuming on the CAHS campus. Persons from the community who routinely use the CAHS track in the afternoon are hereby requested to give way to the CAHS track team’s practice from 4-6 p.m. daily.

“This request is being made for safety reasons and to ensure that student athletes can train without interference and without posing a risk to the safety of others, especially small children who accompany their parents on the track. We are asking for the full cooperation of the public on this matter,” Howell said.
