St. John School of the Arts Plans Two Performances for Fundraiser

The St. John School of the Arts (SJSA) along with five Broadway professionals will present an original musical, “Dream, Wish, Believe” that will feature all of the island’s fourth graders as well as School of the Arts students, whom the Broadway players will teach singing, dancing, acting and puppetry.
Two performances will be held at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Westin on St. John on Feb. 18. The earlier show is a fundraiser for SJSA, which the school hopes will attract 100 “Angels’ who will pay $200 a ticket. After the show, there will be a reception followed by gourmet dinners at leading restaurants and villas.
The 8 p.m. show will be open to the entire community and attendees are asked to donate what they can. Organizers expect standing room only for the later show. The school is also offering a raffle for a three-night stay in New York City.
Tickets are available at Chelsea Drug and Connections as well as from the school and its board members.
