Local and Government Television to Re-Air 'Cops VI'

The documentary "Cops VI," which shows the reality of police on patrol in the Virgin Islands, will be aired again this weekend on local television Channel 8 and Government Access Channel 6 on St. Croix and Channel 10 on St. Thomas.

Police Commissioner Novelle E. Francis Jr. said recently that the first episode of "Cops VI," which was filmed in December “is opening the eyes of the community as to what officers are up against.” Thousands of Virgin Islands residents have viewed the documentary and many remarked that the show had them riveted to the television set and on the edge of their chairs, according to the department’s news release.

The first episode of "Cops VI" will re-play at 8 p.m. Friday on the Government Access Channel, channel 6 on St. Croix and 10 on St. Thomas/St. John Water Island. The show will also play on ABC Channel 8 at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, just before ABC Sports, and again at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, just before the Oscars.

Francis said this is another opportunity for the community to view the first "Cops VI" as the department works on a second episode. Francis said he would announce the debut of the new show in early March.
