Labor Completes Repairs on Processing of Unemployment Checks

The V.I. department of Labor completed all system and hardware repairs that interrupted the processing of hundreds of Unemployment Insurance (UI) checks last week, according to a press release issued on Friday by the VIDOL. The department’s Unemployment Insurance Automated System, VIDOL$, has been completely restored and is now fully operational. The UI staff has resumed the automated processing of claims and printing of checks.
“The department continues working diligently to ensure that claimants are paid in a timely manner,” said Labor Commissioner Albert Bryan Jr. The staff and management thank the public for their continued patience.
