Authorities are searching for a 16-year-old girl who ran away from the Girls Group Home on St. Croix Friday night, according to the Virgin Islands Behavioral Services and the V.I. Police Department are searching
D’Neiva Michelle Warrell was last seen leaving the Girls Group Home at about 10:30 p.m. in an old white Mazda truck with two men and a female teen. The three individuals reportedly appeared at the Group Home without authorization and were asked to leave the premises.
Apparently, Warrell left the facility through a window with the assistance of the two males, according to the news release from Behavioral Services.
Warrell is 5 feet tall, weighs about 170 pounds, has black hair, dark brown eyes, and a dark complexion. When last seen she was wearing a multicolor tube-top dress with a white Aeropostale jacket adorned with red, white and blue lettering.
Warrell, a resident of St. Thomas, might still be in the company of the teenage female, who is known to frequent the Harbor View and Hogensborg areas.
Anyone who may know of her whereabouts or may have seen her is asked to contact the VIPD Juvenile Bureau at 1-340-715-5541 or 1-340-778-2211.
The police department reminded people that anyone found harboring Warrell or aiding her can face criminal charges.
