Adondre David Brathwaiteof Estate Whim, St. Croix, died on Monday, Oct. 14. He was 15 years old.
He leaves to mourn his mother, Sheena Powell; father, Adriel Brathwaite; brothers: Alex-Desmond and Adrian-Paul Brathwaite; grandmothers: Valdora Powell and Goldalene Brathwaite; adopted family: Janette, Donald and Donna-May Bernard; adopted sisters: Estefani Rodriguez and Bella Delgado; great-grandmother, Maisie Bartlette; and aunts: Sheena Powell, Veta Euson, Cleo Bartlette, Tonya Bartlette, Tishann Huggins, Tichina and Tianna Williams, Giselle Richardson Jones, Anise Hodge, Hazel Manners, Retna Walwyn, Julia Jones Isaac, Sonya Parry, Gail Wheatley, Beverly Joseph, Stephanie Rhymer, Vanessa Rymer and Natalie Hodge.
He is also survived by uncles: Brian Dowe, Tian and Tian-J Williams, Anthony Williams, Andrew Brathwaite, Raymond and Anthony Wiltshire, Raymond Walters and Roy Thomas; great aunts: Millicent Browne, Enid Thomas, Vanita Browne, Rubina Ward, Yvonne Walters, Carmel Liburd, Sandra Powell, Claudette Greenidge, Patricia, Pearl, Paulette and Georgette Bartlette, Lydia Wilkinson, Leola Beckford, Carol Small, Iona Headley, Sandrene Beckles and Glenda Hull; great uncles: Clyde, Earl and Kennedy Powell, Conrad Bartlette, Charles Walters and Anthony Glasford; great-great aunts: Pearline Riley and Veronica Frett; and great-great uncles: Sydney, Joseph, George and Claude Challenger.
Other survivors include special cousins: Damali, Kesi, Khary Martin, Amina, Adande and Idrissa Brathwaite, Adelle and Aurielia George, Debbie, Gail and Rhys Liburd, Sean and Jayar Greenidge, Germayne Gonzalves, Sidonne Fahie, Naudia Gooden, Janay Hill, Dennis and Ardyce Browne, Raynelle and Shani Walters; special friends: Malik Hunt, John “Shark” Warner Sr., Addison Christian, Verdis Browne, Derikson Polydore, Dwight Ferguson, Halvor Hart, Housing Finance Authority, UVI, VITEMA, VI National Guard, Department of Finance, Civil Air Patrol, Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Free Will Baptist Christian School and Frederiksted Wesleyan Holiness Church families; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
