Rafael Hall Sr. Dies in Atlanta

Rafael Hall Sr. Rafael Hall Sr., also known as "The Lion," died on Oct. 22 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was 84 years old.
He is preceded in death by his children: Lloyd and Leatrice Hall.
He is survived by his daughters: Mercedes Hall-Gilliam, Rita Hall, Brenda Hall and Anna Hall; son: Raphael E. Hall Jr.; grandchildren: Carmen, Wanda, Dalsia, Shamara, Vannessa, Lettice, Ariyana, Lenisha, Sheniqua, Brendaly, Shanon, Luchie and Kenesha, Philmore Jr., Felix III, Manuel, Lionel, Elifanso, Lloyd, Steven, Samuel Jr. and Anthony; sisters: Thelma and Deloris; uncle: Andre Solomon; special friend and family, the Evans family; and close friends: the Hall family, Mandy Llanos and family, the Mcalpin family, "Bullfoot" Encarnacion, Roy Anduze and the St. Thomas family;
He is also survived by special friends: Chester Benjamin and family, the Harvey family, Rubio Esannason, Dr. Olaf Hendricks and family, Stanley and The Ten Sleepless Knight family, the Williams family, the Roberts family, the Martin family, the Encarncion family, the Charlie Capehart and family, the Canegata family, Vivian Fludd and family, the Cartier family, the Roebuck family, G. Luz James and family, the Schuster family, the Hansen family, Judge Eilene Petersen and family, Louis Gerard and family, the Sealey family, the 40 Plus Baseball Team, Amos Sealey and family, Legion Post 85, Legion Post 133, the Gallowsbay family, Hillsiders, the Housing Park & Recreation staff, the Stop and Save Family, the Brady Family, the Harvey family, the Natty’s Bar and Restaurant family, Ray Sewer and the Just For Fun Softball Team; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery, Veterans Section.
