Man Arrested for Forcible Rape of Minor

Eugene Omari Stevenson, 33, was arrested Wednesday by detectives from the Special Victims’ Unit and charged with the first degree rape of a female minor, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Stevenson is also charged with second-degree aggravated rape and unlawful sexual contact. He was arrested about 1 p.m. Wednesday and his bail was set at $75,000.

Detectives said Stevenson forced a 16-year-old female to have sexual relations with him on several occasions. Police are not releasing any additional information to the public on this case in an attempt to protect the victim.
