Reading Challenge Deadline is Tuesday

Government House reminded students who participated in the Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge that the deadline to submit the tracking sheets is Tuesday.

Armecia Martin, coordinator of the Summer Reading Challenge, noted Saturday that while the challenge has ended and students have started a new school year, the deadline to submit the tracking sheets has been extended to Tuesday.

“This will give the students an opportunity to record the books they have read, complete the tracking sheets and submit them,” she said.

The tracking sheets can be dropped off to the Office of the Governor on both St. Thomas and St. Croix, the public libraries, and to their perspective school offices. They can also fax the completed sheets to 1-340-693-4374.

The winners will be announced at a fun-day on the following dates: St. Thomas, 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 27th; St. John, 2 to 5 p.m. Sept. 28th; and St. Croix, 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 4.
