Loraine Juanita Joseph Dies at 72

Loraine Juanita Joseph Loraine Juanita Joseph of Estate Sion Farm died on Sept. 9. She was 72 years old.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Louise Bolling and Thovalv Slater Sr.; children: Leslie, Kim and Troy; brother, Kendell Porter; sister-in-law: Evril Joseph; and grandchild, Jerome.
She is survived by her husband, Conrad Joseph; children: Alvin Joseph and Lorna Joseph-White; brothers: Rudolph Myers, Joel Porter, Neville Porter, Keith Porter and Thovalv Slater Jr.; sisters: Caroline Slater, Gloria Myers and Janice Porter; brothers-in-law: Fitzroy Mills, Alwyn Baptiste Sr., Deanroy Baptiste, Erwin Joseph, Newland Joseph, Eric Lewis and Randolph Richard; sisters-in-law: Kathleen Edwards, Edith Gore, Bernice Edwards, Audrey Walters and Gloria Slater; and grandchildren: Raymond, Thomas (T. J.), Kim, Theresa, Emanuel, Rhonda, Joseph, Simonique, Erica, Jessie, Akeda, Javon and Tyrone.
She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Ebony, Emeric, Zébria, Kayon, Ahmed, Emmanuel, Montrell, Kimani, Housani, Bryson, Joseph Jr., Zévione, Jasara, Amari, Joselyn, Zaniya, Ahimelic, Zekhia, J’nura, Ariac, Zékobe and Jamar; family friend, Jutina Rawlings; dear friends: the Justina Rawlins family, the Claudette Morton family, the America Cruz family, the Tina Pritt family, the Gary Richards family, the Joycelyn Roberts family, the Cartier family, the Baptiste family, the Slater family, the Lewis family, and Daniel’s guest house and friends; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The viewing will take place at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Lord God of Sabaoth Lutheran Church in Christiansted. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
