Ancilla Julius Celebrates Her 100th Birthday

Ancilla Julius, affectionately known as Mama Luke, celebrated her 100th birthday Sunday at her home on St. Croix.

According to her family. Julius was born Oct. 5, 1914, on St. Kitts, during the early months of World War I.

She celebrated Sunday’s milestone with her two daughters, Phoebe Ann ‘Eva’ Mitcham of Estate Canaan, and Keturah Anne ‘Ketty’ Skelton of Christiansted, where Julius has lived for more than 30 years.

Julius is a grandmother of 10, a great grandmother and a great, great grandmother to many others in St.Kitts, Anguilla, St. Croix, Washington D.C., Maryland, California, Florida, Texas and New York.
